Missed Occasion at Mugello

MUGELLO – The fourth round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth took place on July 15th – 16th at the Autodromo internazionale del Mugello. The performance of Aldo Festante has been pretty under the expectations according to the Italian-Canadian driver, who scored his best finish in 8th place (Race 1) in a weekend when he was aiming for a better result after the positive one in Vallelunga.

The race weekend at Mugello did highlight from the very beginning, both in free practices and qualifying, all the difficulties in battling for the top positions on the grid. However, despite the starting from the middle of the field, Festante has managed to defend his position anyway and to score some important points for the championship standing.

Aldo Festante: “It has been a very disappointing weekend for me where we did and picked up little much. Good but not best Race 1 and 2, where we managed to bring home some results anyways, while in Race 3 I made a mistake that then ended in an accident. A lesson to remember for the future as anything that goes wrong this weekend. We keep our concentration high though, always with the will to come back stronger than before.”

The next round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth will be held at Imola on September 8-10.
