INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE BY ALDO FESTANTE AT MUGELLO

SCARPERIA E SAN PIERO – Aldo Festante has once again shown that he is one of the protagonists of the Porsche Carrera Cup in the Tuscan stage of the championship. In addition to almost reaching the podium in Race 1, the young pilot narrowly missed the second place in Race 2, due to an accidental contact with another car.

The second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup, held at the famous Mugello Circuit from 02 to 04 July, saw Aldo Festante pushing his skills at the wheel to the limit. A weekend full of twists, in which Aldo proved to be one of the pilots capable of contending for the podium in both races.
The work carried out with the team has certainly paid off, it is no coincidence that the qualifications started immediately, with Festante conquering fifth place, thus being able to start Race 1 in the best way. The first of the two races saw Festante fighting for the podium, whizzing through the Casanova-Savelli downhill succession, the two Arrabbiate curves, and then pushing his Carrera to the maximum on the legendary Mugello straight. The competition was tight, but Aldo managed to finish Race 1 with a satisfying fourth place.
Race 2 is where Festante shined, starting third, after the first lap, Aldo moved to the second position, in which the driver also scored the fastest lap. Aldo maintained the second place until the contact with Marzio Moretti, which caused a spin of Aldo’s Porsche. Without losing heart, the young pilot, starting from the thirteenth position, sprinted gritty, leaving behind his opponents to close the competition in the eleventh position.
The balance of the weekend at Mugello is certainly more than positive given Festante’s podium performances in both rounds. As usual, the pilot from Capua is already working with the team to better prepare for the Imola competition, where he will once again battle his rivals to win a golden result.

“A great test of strength, we were always fast, but we were not able to capitalize on our competitiveness but we will start again from the great progress we have made to take us even higher.”
