The Italian-Canadian driver will begin his 2026 campaign in Porsche’s international one-make series at the prestigious Monte-Carlo event alongside Target Competition. A unique weekend on the streets of the Principality, one of the most celebrated stages in world motorsport.

Aldo Festante is ready to tackle one of the most anticipated events of his season as he prepares for the opening round of the 2026 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup on the legendary streets of Monte-Carlo.

The Italian-Canadian driver will return to the wheel of the Target Competition-run Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) for the first event of the international championship that supports the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, officially launching his campaign in the series.

Regarded by drivers and fans alike as one of the most prestigious events in global motorsport, the Monaco Grand Prix presents a challenge unlike any other. The 3.337-kilometre street circuit winds its way through the narrow roads of the Principality, combining high-speed sections with highly technical corners such as the famous Fairmont Hairpin, the tunnel and the harbour chicane. With barriers lining the circuit just centimetres from the racing line and virtually no margin for error, Monte-Carlo remains one of the most demanding and fascinating venues in international motorsport. It is a track where precision, concentration and confidence in the car often count for more than outright performance.

For Festante, it will be a return to a circuit he has already experienced in previous years, yet one that continues to deliver unique emotions every time. Monaco is also one of the very few venues where testing is simply not possible, making track time during the event even more valuable. The weekend will provide another important opportunity to continue the development work and adaptation process that began during the opening events of the season with the new Porsche 911 Cup (992.2), supported by the experience and expertise of Target Competition.

The weekend programme will get underway this afternoon with Free Practice from 16:30 to 17:15, while Qualifying is scheduled for Friday from 18:45 to 19:15. The race, contested over 17 laps or 30 minutes plus one lap, will start on Sunday morning at 11:45.

Aldo Festante:
“It is always a great pleasure to return to Monte-Carlo. It is a truly unique circuit, set in a stunning location with an atmosphere that is difficult to put into words. Even though I have raced here before, every visit feels like the first time because as soon as you arrive you immediately realise how special this event is.
I am very happy to be tackling this weekend together with Target Competition. I have great confidence in the work the team is doing and I am sure we can be competitive. The goal is to continue the progress we have made over the past few weeks, making the most of every session, improving step by step and enjoying every moment at one of the most beautiful circuits in the world.”
