The Italian-Canadian driver returns to the wheel of Target Competition’s #15 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, aiming to build on the competitive pace shown at Vallelunga and fight at the front as the season enters its closing stages.

Misano, 17 September 2026 – The Porsche Carrera Cup Italia enters a decisive phase of the season as Aldo Festante prepares to return to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The 18–20 September event, the fifth and penultimate round of the 2026 calendar, will see the Italian-Canadian driver back behind the wheel of Target Competition’s #15 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Following his fourth-place finish in Race 2 at Vallelunga, Festante heads to Misano looking to build on the encouraging signs from the previous round and turn his potential into results. Working alongside the team, he will focus on finding a good balance from free practice onwards, laying the foundations for a qualifying session that will play an important role in shaping both races.

The 4.226-kilometre Misano circuit features 16 corners, combining technical sequences with high-speed sections that demand precision and a well-balanced car. For the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, finding an effective compromise between braking stability, agility through changes of direction and traction out of the slower corners will be key.

Festante returns to a circuit where he has already secured strong finishes, including fifth place in Race 1 in May 2024, providing a positive reference as he approaches the weekend.

The schedule begins on Friday with free practice at 15.40. Saturday will be the busiest day, with qualifying at 09.35 followed by Race 1 at 15.00, while Race 2 gets underway on Sunday at 12.10.

Aldo Festante:
“At Misano, we want to build on the positives from Vallelunga and turn our potential into results. It will be important to work well from free practice onwards and put together a consistent weekend, giving ourselves the best chance in both races.”
