Festante on a double programme in Italian and French Formula 4

MISANO – 31 March, 2017
After an encouraging rookie season in F4 Italy, Aldo Festate will be once again contesting this championship, now competing for DR Formula. The objective is to concretise the great work done last year and to finally accomplish some podiums in one of the most demanding junior championships. In addition, Aldo will also compete for the very first time in the French F4, promoted by Renault and the FFSA Academy.
Aldo’s 2016 ended in 12th position in the rookie standings and most of the Italian manage to accomplish an encouraging positive streak of 16 TOP10 finishes in 21 races. Last year this results was accomplished despite the high number of participants (52 in total – 22 rookies) competing in the 2016 Italian F4 championship and even in 2017 the most emerging international junior drivers will take part to this championship.
‘The tests during the winter have been positive and I managed to be always in front. The new season will be challenging and my objective is to give everything I have at any race, trying to do my best and capitalize what I learnt last year as a rookie. To work with DR Formula I’m sure it will bring some good results. I feel part of a family and the synergy we built up during the winter makes everything easier’.
In addition to the Italian F4 program Aldo will take part at the French F4 championship, promoted by the FFSA Academy. A championship supported by Reanault which will help Festante to gain international experience and measure himself in an International context.
‘The choice for an Italian junior driver to race in the French F4 is quite uncommon. It will be a brand new challenge for me and everything is new, in particular the car, which is way different from the ones I raced in Italy. We have less power from the engine and the car has more grip. It’s really enjoyable’.
