FESTANTE CONTINUES TO CLIMB THE RANKINGS: FOURTH PLACE IN MISANO
Misano – An asymmetrical race at Misano, where Aldo Festante conquers eighteen positions closing in fourth place. An excellent result that balances the unfortunate forced retirement in Race 1.
The second stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup has been held in Misano from 1st to 2nd August. The weekend did not start in the best way: a mediocre qualifying and a sudden retirement in Race 1 left a bitter taste in Festante’s mouth. However, not losing heart, the Capua native pilot managed to make an incredible performance in Race 2: starting from the 22nd position, Aldo pushed his Porsche Carrera to the maximum, conquering positions on positions, ending the competition in fourth place. Eighteen positions conquered in a single race, a remarkable result which shows how Festante is a driver capable of competing for the top of the ranking. Obviously, during the pre – Imola break, Aldo and the team will work to understand what went wrong in qualifying and in Race 1, in order to face the next championship round without any hitch, immediately aiming for the top of the standings.
“This weekend was going downwards due to the mediocre quali and the DNF in race one. We worked a lot on the race pace and we showed that in race two where we came from P22 on the grid to P4 on the final result list, a great feeling that makes us eager to improve in the nearest future, though we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
