The Target Competition driver completed both races at the Belgian circuit showing encouraging progress. After positive signs emerged particularly in qualifying, the focus now shifts to the next round at Zandvoort.

Spa-Francorchamps, 17 May 2026 – Aldo Festante completed the third round of the 2026 Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland at Spa-Francorchamps with several encouraging signs and valuable progress throughout the weekend.

The Target Competition driver, behind the wheel of the #28 Porsche 911 Cup (992.2), tackled one of the most demanding and iconic circuits in international motorsport with the main objective of improving his feeling with the Belgian track, historically a challenging venue for the Italian-Canadian driver. A process that delivered concrete progress during the weekend, particularly in qualifying performance.

Festante finished the first official qualifying session in 16th position with a 2:19.574 before making a significant improvement in the second session, where he secured 11th place in 2:18.133. In Race 1, the Target Competition driver crossed the line in 17th position, while in the wet conditions of Race 2 he finished 13th, completing both races without major issues and collecting valuable mileage on one of the most technical and selective circuits on the calendar. Festante will return to Spa in July for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup round.

Aldo Festante:
β€œThe main objective of the weekend was to improve the feeling with the track, which has always been quite difficult for me, also in previous years. Looking especially at qualifying, I think we made a clear step forward. There is still another step missing to fight consistently for the top positions, but we completed many kilometres and finished both races without major problems, staying in the upper half of the field. We are happy with the progress shown, even if we know we must continue working and improve further already from next week at Zandvoort.”
