FESTANTE CLIMBS THE RANKING AT MISANO

The second heat of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia took place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from 4 to 5 June. Aldo Festante put on a show in a weekend full of duels, culminating in the fifth place in Race 2. Difficult stage that of Misano, in which both free practice and Race 1 were held at night, making the Romagna round even more exciting.
The second round of the championship began immediately with Festante who, during the qualifying, attacked the asphalt, reaching the top positions in the standings. Unfortunately a mistake caused the cancellation of the best lap for track limits, blocking Festante’s way to Q2.
Race 1 saw Aldo starting from the eighth row, in sixteenth place. In the twenty-eight minutes, plus one lap, of the race Aldo faced his opponents with grit and determination, thus managing to gain positions after positions until he finished in ninth place. Festante gained seven positions with great satisfaction of both the pilot and the team.
Race 2 saw Festante starting ninth. In this session Aldo gained four positions, closing the race weekend with a good fifth place.
The Misano round of the championship was excellent. Furthermore Festante improved his performance considerably, compared to the first race of the championship, obtaining growing results that made both the driver and team confident for the continuation of the championship.
