DEBUT IN FIRST PLACE FOR FESTANTE
Mogyoród – An amazing race for Aldo Festante who, after having conquered two pole positions and two fastest laps, ended the Hungarian weekend taking home a first place in Race 2 and a third place in Race 1. Great race and great emotion for the young driver.
The first heat of the GT Open Cup was held from 06 to 09 August, on the legendary Hungaroring. Aldo Festante made his debut in the new championship with high-level performances: Pole position in the two qualifications, in which he also managed to get two fastest laps, to then conquer the third place in Race 1 and the first place in Race 2. It goes without saying that both Festante and the team are extremely satisfied with the results achieved during this first round of the GT open Cup. The hard work began immediately after the first round of the Porsche Carrera Cup undoubtedly led to the results hoped for. Obviously, the debut in the new championship brought with it new challenges and new pitfalls to overcome, but the Capua native pilot is not intimidated by them, on the contrary, aware of his driving skills, he is certain that the positive momentum acquired in Hungary represents only the starting point for a great season of exciting races and fierce battles to conquer the top step of the podium again.
“It’s been a really competitive weekend, we massively showed our strength. The working link and the synergy between me and the team have improved and we saw the results they gave. Now we just have to keep waking on this path.”
