The Italian-Canadian driver announces a 16-round campaign across Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. First outing at Imola on 17–19 April.
Aldo Festante raises the bar and confirms an ambitious programme for the 2026 season, which is now set to get underway. The Italian-Canadian driver has signed an agreement with Target Competition and will remain at the wheel of Porsche machinery, alternating between the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and the prestigious Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Festante will line up for 16 events during the season, driving the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Italian series and the new Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) in both the German championship and the Supercup. His first outing is scheduled for Imola on 17–19 April, during the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.
The programme will see Festante compete against some of the most recognised names in the international Porsche Cup scene, a championship environment that traditionally brings together many of the benchmark drivers worldwide in Porsche Cup competition. The calendar spans six countries and several of the most iconic circuits of the season. Among the highlights are the Monaco round, held as a support race to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, as well as historic venues such as Imola, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort.
The Italian-Canadian driver joined the Porsche one-make series in 2019 and has since built solid experience within the Stuttgart manufacturer’s single-make championships. In recent weeks he has already completed a pre-season test, allowing him to regain rhythm and further strengthen his working relationship with the team and the crew in the garage.
Aldo Festante:
“I’m very pleased to confirm this important programme and I would like to thank Target Competition and all the partners who have made it possible for me to continue competing in such a highly competitive environment as the Porsche one-make series, a world that I am getting to know more and more deeply season after season. I’m confident nothing will be left to chance. The approach is extremely determined and we know we can be competitive from the very first round. It will be an intense season, with periods where we will be racing for several consecutive weeks. That will be a great opportunity to keep building confidence and feeling with the car and translate it into the best possible performance on track. I can’t wait to get started.”
