The Target Competition driver heads to one of the most iconic circuits in world motorsport aiming to continue his development path and maximise the result during the Belgian weekend.

Spa-Francorchamps, 15 May 2026 – Following the podium secured in the latest round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia at Misano, Aldo Festante returns to action this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps for Round 3 of the Sixt Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.

The Target Competition driver returns to one of the most iconic and demanding circuits on the international motorsport calendar, where he already competed last season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. For Festante, the Belgian weekend represents another opportunity to continue his development behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and gain further experience on a highly technical and selective layout.

The first indications from Free Practice were positive, with the Italian-Canadian driver immediately showing strong confidence with both car and circuit, confirming the progress demonstrated during the most recent events of the season.

After a very encouraging weekend at Misano — highlighted by two second-row starts, the fastest lap in Race 1 and his first podium finish of the season in Race 2 — Festante arrives in Belgium aiming to continue the growth process together with Target Competition.

The weekend schedule moves into its decisive phase tomorrow, Saturday 16 May, with the two qualifying sessions scheduled from 10:20 to 10:55, followed by Race 1 at 14:10. Race 2 will take place on Sunday 17 May at 11:25 on the legendary Ardennes circuit.

Aldo Festante:
“It’s always special to come back to Spa-Francorchamps after some time. Last year we raced here in the Porsche Supercup and it will definitely be great to drive on this circuit again. The feeling during Free Practice was very positive and we had good confidence from the first laps. We know the level will be extremely high and, as a guest driver, the objectives for the weekend are also slightly different. Of course we will try to maximise the result, but above all we want to continue working on our limits and improve the areas where we still need to grow on such a demanding track.”
