The Italian-Canadian driver returns to the wheel of Target Competition’s Porsche 911 GT3 Cup #15 on the very fast Monza circuit, aiming to confirm and improve the pace shown at Misano.

Monza, 19 June 2026 – Aldo Festante opened this weekend the third round of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, taking place at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

The Italian-Canadian driver is once again behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup #15 entered by Target Competition, taking on one of the most iconic and fastest circuits on the calendar. The Brianza venue has always represented a fascinating challenge, where top speed, braking precision and management through the chicanes can make the difference in every phase of the weekend.

After the Misano round, where Festante fought among the leading positions and showed competitiveness and consistency, the goal will be to pick up from where he left off and try to take another step forward in a highly competitive field.

The weekend programme opened on Friday 19 June with the free practice session, which allowed Festante and the team to gather the first useful data ahead of the decisive part of the weekend. Qualifying will take place on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:10: each driver’s fastest lap will define the grid for Race 1, while their second-best personal lap time will set the starting order for Race 2. Race 1 will start on Saturday at 15:30, while Race 2 will get underway on Sunday at 11:20.

Both races will run over the standard distance of 30 minutes + 1 lap and will be available live or on demand on Dazn, also among the free-to-view content after registration on the platform, and in HD live streaming on the official website www.carreracupitalia.it.

Aldo Festante:
“We have resumed our Porsche Carrera Cup Italia programme on a beautiful circuit. It is always a great pleasure to return to Monza: because of the speed, it has a unique appeal, with fantastic corners and a special atmosphere. The goal is to pick up from where we left off. At Misano we fought among the leading positions and this weekend we want to try to do even better. My history at this circuit and the team’s record here give us confidence, but we know it will be essential to work well from the very first sessions.”
