The Italian-Canadian driver returns to the wheel of Target Competition’s #28 Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) for an intense weekend featuring two races, counting as rounds six and seven of the 2026 season.

Zandvoort (NL), 20 August 2026 – Following the summer break, Aldo Festante is ready to return to action at Circuit Zandvoort for the penultimate event of the 2026 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, taking place from 21 to 23 August as part of the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix weekend.

The Dutch event will feature a special format, with two races counting respectively as the sixth and seventh rounds of the eight-round season. At the wheel of Target Competition’s #28 Porsche 911 Cup (992.2), Festante will aim to build on the positive indications from the Hungaroring, where he achieved his best Supercup qualifying result of the season.

The 4.259-kilometre Circuit Zandvoort is one of the most distinctive venues on the calendar, with a technical layout featuring continuous changes of direction, elevation changes and its characteristic banked corners. On a narrow circuit where overtaking opportunities are limited, qualifying will be particularly important. Festante will also be able to rely on recent experience of the track, having already raced at Zandvoort last May in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland, collecting useful data and references ahead of the Supercup double-header.

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup programme will begin on Friday, 21 August at 18:00 with a 45-minute free practice session. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, 22 August at 10:15, followed by Race 1 at 18:00. Race 2 will start on Sunday, 23 August at 11:45. Both races will run over 17 laps or a maximum duration of 30 minutes plus one lap.

Aldo Festante:
“We arrive at Zandvoort determined to build on the positives from the Hungaroring, where we made an important step forward in terms of pace and achieved our best qualifying result of the Supercup season. Unfortunately, we were unable to turn that progress into a result, so our goal here will be to convert the potential we have shown into something concrete. We already know Zandvoort from racing here this year in the Carrera Cup Deutschland, which means we can start the weekend with recent references and a solid base to work from. It is a technical circuit where you need to find confidence with the car immediately, and qualifying will be particularly important. It will also be an unusual weekend with two races, so we need to be precise from free practice onwards and make the most of every session. We want to continue the progress we started in Hungary and finally achieve a result that reflects our potential.”
